Default 2005 NAV /Climate control probs

My car:
2005 Accord EX V6 M6 coupe with NAV /dual zone climate control.

Here is the problem: sometimes, but not always, when I adjust the temp settings, the temp of the air blowing out of the vents does not change. For example, if the setting had been at say 60 deg and I change the desired temp to 80, warm air should blow out, but it doesnt. It will keep blowing out cold air until I go to HI. Then sometimes it will suddenly start blowing out hot air. Other times I have to cycle the temp from Lo to Hi several times to get it to change from either blowing out hot air only or cold air only. This is really annoying and happens on both the "AUTO" setting, and if I go to the manual A/C control screen. This doesnt always happen, but it does enough that it really annoys me. I may not be explaining it well enough so please, ask lots of questions if it helps.

Part of me wonders if the internal cabin temp sensor is going bad, or if the heat/cold air vacuum baffles in the dash are sticking. I took it to the dealership several times and they of course could not replicate the problem.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

-Eric

Nothing? No one has had this problem, or nobody has any suggestions?

I'd check the valve on the heater hose (#1 in this picture) to make sure it's moving.

I never owned an accord with ACC, but it looks like there's a cable operated lever on that valve (just like simple heater valves). Is it broken or disconnected out at the valve? Does the cable move when you adjust the temperature?

Thanks for the schematic! That will help. As soon as it warms up I will go look. It doesnt happen all the time so I am thinkin that it may be sticking at times? I hope to be able to work on it the weekend of Jan 21. I will post back what I find out. Thanks again
