2006 4cyl USING OIL/ whats the fix?
Got a 2006 accord. 4cyl, auto, city driver. 196,000 miles. daughter drives it hard signal to signal. I know, I do the brake work on it. Nice car but I think she ran it low on oil a few times. Uses a quart every 750 miles now. Looks like pan would be a clean shot. Anyone here do an inflame ring job on one of these? Runs good. If I drove it I would just add oil. She is 50 and untrainable.
Looks like I could pull the pan to do a in frame piston pull and ring job after removing the head. Is this possible? Anybody done this? Is it worth the trouble.?

Not the PCV valve. no leaks. Been pretty consistent usage for about a year. Passed smog with fair hydro carbon reading. Runs good with just an oily tail pipe. Guess it could be valve guide seals. I am a Caterpillar mechanic. Hate working on cars. Just looking for ideas.
Use an oil like Valvoline Maxlife that is pretty notorious for slowing leaks/consumption, and just keep an eye on it. Buy it when it's on sale, drill it into whoever drives its mind to check oil and top it up every time they get gas, and keep it another 10 years
