Your scanner data appears corrupted or other problems. It list banks 1 through 4. I've never seen a car w/ more than 2 banks (V6 or V8). How was this data obtained?

good luck

I have an OBD interface that connects to my laptop running ProScan 5 software.

I would not act on anything in the scanner info. Parts don't make sense, so hard to believe any of it.

good luck

Did some troubleshooting today, checked spark, swapped coils+plugs around, cleaned throttle body-no change. I did notice that when you turn the key on there is a hi-pitch noise for a few seconds and also stays on when you push the gas with the car not running. Determined it was coming from the throttle body because I disconnected the cable and no noise. Is that normal? I'm almost ready to bring it in somewhere unless I make some headway soon. Thanks for your help btw.

The engine has a stepper motor-driven throttle plate that is positioned based on Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APP). I've never noticed any noise frm the two TSX's I have that have this arrangement.

Suggest having codes read at Autozone, or other parts place to see what codes are present.

good luck

I wish we had an autozone or something like there here in Canada. I used a different scan program for my OBD and no errors reported. Attached log, not sure if this is the info. needed. I'm assuming it shouldn't make a noise. When I disconnected the throttle body connector and operated the flap manually it seemed to start right away. I'm not sure if the electronics can be replaced or if the hole body needs to be replaced.

I found used throttle bodies on ebay for < $100. There does not appear to be a procedure for replacing the throttle plate stepper motor in shop manual.

Is Check Engine Light on? If yes, I would try to borrow someone's simple scanner to see what codes are present.

good luck

No check engine light. What is your gut regarding the throttle body?

Does it smoothly open from closed position when acc. pedal is pushed steadily to floor? If yes, noise may not have any consequence.

good luck

I never checked with the car off but when running it is smooth. Should it open a bit when starting?
