2006 door lock issues when rains
2006 Accord EX-L, 4 banger, 4 door, 160,000 flawless miles
Help please. When it rains, door locks will not actuate. People get locked inside car. After parking car, turn off, remove key....door locks will not unlock any of the four doors (using main control switch on driver's door). Key fob will not unlock doors either. Cannot exit car. I then restart the car (lock still will not actuate) roll down power windows and manually unlock the car by reaching outside with the key.
On one occasion, when I used the key (reaching out the window) the doors immediately relocked. I unlock - they relock....almost like some security system is forcing the doors locked again. It wants to stay locked.
...issue only happens after hard rain. Fob controls and all switches operate normally when it's dry, or only light rain. Any ideas?

My guess would be to check if the driver's side under-dash fuse box area is getting wet, which may be affecting the Multiplex integrated control unit (MICU) and your door lock operation. The MICU is part of the under-dash fuse/relay box.

I noticed similar behavior in a 2007 Accord 4-cyl, when rain got in door panel through open window. Mine recovered after allowing to sit w/ window down in hot garage overnight.
You may have a leaking window seal strip (wiper at top of door where window enters door) that is allowing enough water in to cause problems.
good luck
