2006 Timing Chain replacement
Hi,
Sorry to start a new thread on this but the original thread was about a check engine light code that turned into a timing chain issue.
That being said I have the car apart and have a question about the lower chain tensioner. The car is a 2006 Accord with 330k miles.
The only way a can see to replace this is to drop the oil pan. The small chain, guides and tensioner are part of the timing chain kit I purchased so I feel that these should be replaced as well.
While it doesn't seem like too much extra effort, my question is do most people replace this along with the main chain. Or more correctly, Should I replace it?
