Default 2007 Honda Accord won't start

Hi! I have a 2007 Honda Accord that suddenly won't start. It doesn't crank or make a clicking noise when turning the key. However, the windows work fine, the horn is strong as is the radio and all the dash lights. Is it most likely a neutral switch or an ignition switch gone bad? Also if so...is that something I can replace myself easilly? Any advice or input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Possible faulty starter.

Is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?

A test light or voltmeter would help you out greatly in a situation like this. If you have one handy you can narrow the problem down in a matter of minutes.
How the starter works is it gets a positive cable directly from the battery to the starter, this should have power on it at all times, check for that. More likely the cause is the starter not getting 12v from the ignition switch, such problems are a bad starter relay or fuse, or like you said a bad ignition switch or park neutral safety switch. If the fuses check out good, my next step would be to check for 12v at the starter solenoid while someone cranks the key inside the car.

best bet is the starter, which is why you hear no clicking then you turn. the battery clearly works which rules that option out

Automatic or manual? (neutral-switch or clutch-switch)

Try the caveman test. Hit the starter with a broomstick while someone tries to start. If that makes it work, it's the starter.

Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone! It is the 4 cylinder and is an automatic. I've never had a starter go just like that though. Usually with past cars I had warning signs that a starter was going bad. Untill now it always started almost instantly. Well anyway, I will try your suggestions and check back in. THANKS!!!

The likelihood of any of the things I've mentioned above being the problem are all pretty close since everyone's car is different. Bad starters or engine block grounds are usually the root cause but who likes gambling away $140 on a guess, do some basic tests first. Do you have 12v on both wires going to the starter and 0v to the starter case when someone cranks and holds the key? If so, bad starter, replace it. If not, time check other things.
