Question 2008 EX-L V6 P3400 Error Code

I have a 2008 EX-L V6 Accord with 66,000 miles on it. I just got a P3400 error code and the mechanic couldn't figure it out. So, they just reset it. Any ideas what it may be? Not long ago I got an error code that indicated that the 3rd cylinder wasn't firing; so I got a tune up and that was that.
HELP! I don't want to be stranded.

sap67,

If I remember correctly, the P3400 code on a contemporary Accord is indicative of the valve train switching solenoids moving incorrectly. More often than not this code is caused by a dirty oil condition or simply a low oil level in your car.

With that said, when was the last time that you changed the oil in your car? If it's been over 5,000 miles since your last oil change then it may be a good idea to consider changing the oil as soon as possible. Hopefully, this will clear that P3400 error code.

If not then update us on the situation and then we'll go from there

Red face P3400/p3497

I ended up getting a second error code a few days later (p3497). I took it to the dealership and they decided that it was low oil. So, I got an oil change and am hoping the error doesn't return.
