Default 2008 slow crank no start new starter good battery??

Guys My sons friend drove from VT. to Nj on his 2008 accord 4cyl. 225,000 miles-- It ran fine- sat for a week then nothing- would not start- Had battery checked it is fine putting out 12.6 volts- Put new starter in and now it cranks over slowly ( like a bad battery)- But it will not turn over- Changed Neg. battery cable and put new pos. clamp on-any ideas- so good battery, new starter and it will not turn over- Please help-

A few possibilities.

1. What does the battery voltage read when you try to start the car?
2. Where did you get the starter?

Some of the parts store rebuilt starters can be bad out of the box. For aftermarket starters, I'd say buy a denso starter, or find a place that will rebuild your current starter.
