Default 2008 I4 Accord LX Hard Start

Lately I have been having an intermittant hard starting issue. It usually starts on the first turn off the key. But, when it does this, it fails to start, then usually starts after a bit of cranking the second time. Is this a known issue? Any ideas? 28k miles on the car.

Have the battery tested, most auto parts stores test them for free. It may just be the battery needing replacement. Also check the battery terminals and connection for corrosion, etc.

Will do. I guess I was in denial, as the battery is about a year old.

Unusual, but not impossible to have a bad battery that soon. But it's easy to check if just to rule it out.

When it doesn't start, does the starter spin the engine at the normal speed for the starter? Or does it sound "weak" cranking?

Yeah...slightly weak I think, but not too bad. It's a full sized AGM battery, but that may have worked against me as they take alot of juice to charge. Battery check Friday..couldnt get to it today.
