Default 2009 accord coupe cooling fans

Have 2009 accord coupe auto trans with 92000 miles. just noticed that at cold start up both cooling fans run for 20 seconds then stop. Then every 35 seconds they come on again and run for 4 seconds. A/C is not on and neither is defrost. Coolant level is at max. Fans continue to do this all the time . Temp gauge never goes above normal reading. Any solutions?

Could be a few things like a stuck fan-switch, stuck relay, damaged wiring, bad coolant temp sensor.

Default 2009 cooling fans

thanks for info. forgot to mention that I have climate control.when I don't use climate control or use AC button and blower fan is off, the radiator cooling fans do not come on. 62 degrees outside and engine temp stayed normal. but as soon as I put climate control even for 74 degrees or ran just the blower fan, cooling fans came on every 35 seconds and for only 4 seconds at a time.

I am running into a similar issue. 2006 Accord 3.0L LX AT, when the A/C is running, after the engine is warm, the radiator cooling fans come on for just a few seconds, then off for a second, then back on. The temp to my vehicle doesn't change, but I'm worried the constant on/off cycle will cause damage somehow. Are there any other ideas out there on this topic as to what the issue could be?

The fans will cycle on & off from the A/C, so that suggests that it's the A/C which is cycling on & off rapidly. Look for AC problems...
- incorrect charge of refrigerant (overcharged)?
- blocked expansion valve?
- messed-up auto-temp-control?

There's a procedure to read error codes from the climate-control system. Top of this forum there's a sticky-thread about "common DIY" or something like that. Look in there for a link to the instructions.
