2010 Honda squeaking noise coming from pully area
I'm new to any forums hope I can find a gear head that can help.
My 2010 2.4l accord Lx is squeaky or more like a chirp, i originally thought it was the alternator because it sounds like that area and placing my hand on the back of it I can feel a grind that seems like it corresponds with the chirp.
I took it apart cleaned it both barrings seemed fine Hooke a drill up to it no chirp put it In and there it was again, so I bought a re manufactured same problem, thought I got a faulty one so I got another same problem, four machanics thought it was the alternator.
Then I replaced the belt, and tensionor barring same thing, I checked all the pullys while I had belt off many time all seemed fine.
It stays constant while Rpms are up or down, but sometimes it will stop all together for minutes at a time ac on or off don't Change same with turning the wheel or using more electronics, the temperature is the same it has always been. If anything it's more **** to slow down with rpms. After I changed the belt it did seem to change a little it will stop more often, and if you leave it at idli for awhile it will stop or almost stop.
Can someone please help

A misaligned pulley can cause a chirp. Also water pump bearing can make a chirp.
Suggest starting w/ serpentine belt removed to confirm that a belt driven component is source of noise.
good luck
