I changed the titles of this and the other thread of yours as the are not the firing order but just a diagram showing the "cyl numbers"........example, the true firing order of most Honda 4 cyl engines is 1-3-4-2.

Now your pictures do show which is cyl #1 vs which is cyl #4.

Cylinder numbers always start from the pulley-side, so that diagram is only true for the older Honda 4-cyl engines (B-series, D-series, F-series, H-series). Cylinder #4 is closest to the flywheel.

Newer Honda engines (K-series Accord, R-series Civic) and most all other carmakers have the pulley on the opposite side. So the numbers are reversed with #4 still being closest to the flywheel/transmission.
