5th gear grind

On my 99frigging accord when shifting into 5thit gear it grinds the gears. If I pause a sec and slowly shift it doesn't do it all the time. 5th only. Changed fluid and all looked good. What is this problem?

Probably the syncro, pretty costly to replace if you don't do it yourself(its inside the transmission). Would probably be cheaper to pick up a used tranny and swap that in. Or just live with the grind.

Using Honda MTF? I've heard of people getting improvement by using that instead of other MTF. Also, Pennzoil Synchromesh (AKA GeneralMotors Synchromesh) might be even better.
