Hi All , I am a new member and need some help, called in couple of honda dealerships for getting a quote on 6yr/90Kmile service and got the quotes as $535 and $370 does this sound reasonable price ? below are the items included in the service ($370 charge)
Replace all Fluids/Filter (Brake fluid, Trans fluid, Coolant etc)
Rotate tires
Replace Oil/Filter
and does $140 for brake pad replacement sound right ?
thanks in advance

$140 for a brake pad replacement is a huge rip off. You can do it yourself super easily with a jack, some jackstands, and basic hand tools (Honda OEM brake pads cost about $35 from hondaautomotiveparts.com). If that quote only includes those services you listed it is absolutely ridiculous. You can EASILY do all those yourself (brake fluid change would probably be the most challenging, but still not hard.) Go to AutoZone and buy yourself a Haynes manual for basic services like these.
Did the dealer not mention a newtiming belt, water pump, oil seals, and drive belts? Those need to be done at 104k (or every 7 years) on 1998-2002 Accords. Get a Honda Certified shop to do that one - it will probably run around $500 or so.

before i can give you a proper reply , i would need to know the model of the car v6 ,4cyl., at ,5 sp .. i am assuming it is a 2000-2001 ?? 6 yr?? also get a list of what they are going to do exactly ..
also if t-belt has not been done i would suggest that you do it as well

as for the brake pads, you can get a set from honde for 50-60 dollars and replace them yourself, ,, there are write ups on the DIY section..

My experience with dealerships is most will do good work, but you will pay $$$ for sure.
Igo toa local family owned Honda/Acura repair shop. They are honest and the price is very reasonable.
You might want to consider calling around your area for quotes.

Only 35k miles!? That's nothing! I personally wouldn't get anything major done till I hit about 90k! No wonder the dealer didn't recommend a t-belt & water pump change!
