85-87 front left driveaxle

Default 85-87 front left driveaxle

I have a front left cv boot going out and I have an 85 front left driveaxle laying round,
could I put that in my 87 honda accord?
I'm a newb so any help is appreciated

Look up the OEM part numbers for the CV joints on www.hondapartsdeals.com for the 85 and 87 accord. If the numbers are identical, then you can definitely use them.

I used car-part.com to check donor vehicles. It indicates that only 86-89 years are donors for CV axle. BTW, a used axle can be had for < $30. May be hard to find a really good axle for a car that old. I've found that it's best to rebuild your own axle w/ new boots and grease, if the CV joints are smooth.
