Default 87 left driveaxle question

ive got a 87 honda accord and the driver's side CV is old. I have a drive axle from an 86; does anyone know if I can use the 86 for the 87?

As long as the cars both have the same transmission, it should work. You just can't go AT->MT and vice versa, the axle lengths are different.

For interchanges like that I usually go to http://www.autozone.comand type in the make/model/year/engine/transmission info for the first car and then add the part you are wondering about to your online cart. Then add a vehicle and enter all of the same info for it and look up the same part again. That will show you if it is the same part number.

1987 4dr LX AT L-side: 06444-SE0-505RM

1987 4dr LX MT L-side: 44306-SE0-912

1986 4dr LX AT L-side: 06444-SE0-505RM

1986 4dr LX MT L-side: 44306-SE0-912

Those are Honda part numbers, they match up so go right ahead and use the '86 driveshaft you have!
