Default '86 Hatchback - No Wiper Power

Hello All,
(My first post here).
The car is a 1986 LXi Hatchback (fuel injected, manual trans). It needs lots of work, but the motor runs strong (for 250K miles).

I don't seem to have any power to the rear wiper motor. I've tried to get a voltate reading on the wires going to the motor, and get no indication of power coming to the wiper motor. The rear deck brake light comes on so there is some power available, in that general area, at least. I've tested the combination switch and it seems that it is working (per the Honda Shop Manual pdf that I got somewhere).

1. Is the voltage to the wiper motor 12V ?
2. Where does that wire run start? Under the dash?
3. Where can I check to see that power is being sent to the rear of the car at all?
(It doesn't help that the wiper motor may be bad, as well).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

-tomas

check the wire harness where it flexes as the hatch opens.
You can pop the rubber grommet out and slide the sleeve back.

Thanks!!
I pulled back the rubber boot and found 3 broken wires. So.. off to splice/solder/?? and see what happens.

Worst case scenario: where does that wire run go after that flex spot? Are there any connectors where I can see what is getting send down the wire?

Thanks again!
