hey everybody names cory i got an 86 accord thats giving me obd0 code twelve for the egr any help is great also i have a minor oil leak that i cant pinpoint please help with trouble shooting this is my first forum so i have no idea what im doing so go easy please

You need to go under your car and clean off all the oil thats sitting under there. Then take some baby powder and put some all over the spots you think it could be leaking. Run your engine and look for wet oil coming down. Baby powder makes it easier to see.

Also,you could just drive around for a week or so after cleaning and check after a week to see where there is fresh oil.

Thats the first thing to do.

For the code, does it come back-after resetting the ECU- right away?

ok thanks for the pointer and for the code when i reset the ecu it comes almost immediately

In the "Common DIY Threads" sticky at the top of this section there is a link to a manual you can download (86 to 89 are the same gen so get that one).

There are a few tests you are going to have to do, I'm willing to help you thru them - I have owned a few of these....and still have two LXi's in the driveway for reference

Again this is in the Common DIY Threads "sticky" at the top.....I thinkk the very first link is "Online Shop Manual".......I use the one from spoonertuner for most things on my 3rd gen's.

ok so i got a repair manual from honda tech its the whole book on pdf file hopefully that works fine?
