The dash switch cruise-on light is directly connected to ground and power is supplied through the switch (at least on 90 Accord), so light should come on if switch is closing. If not, bad switch, open light, or open fuse.

Did you check the under-dash fuse? It supplies power to the main switch.

Make sure you brake lights are not stuck On, as this will disable cruise also.

Check Online Manuals sticky post in DIY forum for links to download manual for your car. I believe there is one from Hondahookup.com that is mislabled as 89 Accord Secan. This should have all the diagnostics to find your problem.

good luck

I'd also check for codes. The ECU is under the dirvers seat. Key on, count the flashes.

i did check the under dash fuse and it is just fine. ill check the power and ground if those check ok ill try putting a toggle switch in to see if that fixes it. if so, off to get a new switch. and the brake lights work properly also

The reason I asked about the codes, a bad VSS can cause the cruise not to work. Also if the brake light switch is not properly adjusted then that could cause the same issue. Yes a mis-adjusted switch will allow the brake lights to work but not the cruise.
