the elec door lock switch only locks the doors wont unlock. I took the switch loose from the door and eyeballed it it seems ok I also used a piece of wire to jump the terminals on the back and the lock cycle is working but the unlock dosent so i think the trouble is before the switch this may be a dumb question but could there be a seperate fuse for lock and unlock? what is my next thing to do?

 

Sounds like you need an old grey haired Geezer to help you with that classic car.
Under the passenger front seat there are 2 or 3 control units; the one in the middle is the power door lock controller.
Unplug it, remove it, carefully pry on the edges and you can slide the circuit board out. Then look very carefully for cracked solder joints.
