'91 Accord alt was smoking now no spark?
Just bought a '91 Accord LX, 4 cyl, Auto w/127k that had been sitting for about a year. No problem getting it running then I noticed some white smoke coming from alt. and shut it down, it cont. until I disconnected battery. Went to start it next day and would turn over but not fire. I'm getting fuel but no spark so is it possible something shorted? I've checked the fuses under the hood and inside and nothing is blown?

Where and how did you verify no spark?
To generate a spark, you need power from the ignition switch to the ignitor and coil. The ignitor triggers the spark from the coil. The spark then travels through the rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wire, then spark plug.
A missing spark can come from anything in the system not working properly. You would need a volt meter to start doing some diagnostics on what is wrong with the ignition system.
