91 accord maintenance indicator went to yellow.
I reset it and now it is still green. So what was that?
It is overdue for oil change. It does take some cranking
in the cold mornings. bum cold start injector?

 

It's just a mechanic counter, after each reset it turn from green to yellow to red when it reaches 7,500 miles. It's to remind you to do oil changes or other maintenance. It is a dumb meter, it doesn't really know the condition of anything.

Only the later Accords like the 2006-2007 (7th gen Accords) and 2008-2012 (8th gen Accords) had maintenance minders that had some actual programming logic regarding engine oil.

 

definitely a dumb meter, my wife told me when she bought her car (96) the dealership told her she had to come in everytime it changed for maintenance fortunately she didnt fall for it and looked at it closer later on. You can reset it my poking the key in gently I just drive with mine on yellow Ive become numb to it, although I think my wife will reset it.
