I was just curious if anyone had any ideas on converting my front driver's and passenger's windows from electric to manual...the motors don't work anyway and I'd rather just switch back to old-school technology....any thoughts?

 

Power windows are pretty reliable. The amount of effort in converting (new door panels, finding regulators, etc) is fairly large for no obvious improvement in reliability. Manual regulators fail also

Suggest new/used regulator and clean power window switches.

I'm thinking with the amount of damage, it will end up being more economical to snag a couple of jy doors and start over. This car is reeeaaaly rough. But it's captured my interest so I wanna doctor it up.

I'll do some shopping around and see if I can at least get the driver's side parts replaced as you mentioned. Thanks! You guys are great around here.
