I got this 91 last Sept. i was told the motor was 'New' but checked the water level it was low...i put a lil less then a gallon of water in it, a noticed it was down not a ful qt. of oil..The guy told me it had bout around 12k on it..is this what a 'new' motor do? or was this guy BSing me bout the 'New' motor?? i havent took it in for a oil change yet neither..will this help at all? thanks

 

You need an oil change since it's been well over 3 months, regardless of mileage accumulated.

Oil change won't help the coolant leak. Have a coolant system leak test performed, and if negative check for combustion gases in the coolant (a sign of leaking head gasket).

All engines take maintenance, whether new or old.
