Default Interior water leak

Hello to everyone, great site you have here! I have a 1997 Accord SE coupe that I am experiencing a severe water leak everytime it rains. The water is coming in on the passenger side front dash area. Looks like it comes out of the blower motor area! Sun roof is ok, no leaks when I poor water over or around it. I currently have the cowl off from the windshield area and the windhield appears ok. When I poor water over the lower passenger side windshield it runs down to what appears to be the inner firewall, looks like a sheet metal pan blocks or deflects water from entering some type of fresh door maybe a vent area! Is there suppose to be a drain hole somewhere around this outside vent door to prevent water from backing up and running down thru the blower motor? I bought the car used that had been a repairable with a marked title and the previous owner said the car had been hit on the passenger side by the front fender. Is there a drain tube pinched off somewhere? Car runs and drives fine (currently 108,000 miles and it had 65,000 on it when I bought it) needs some maintenance but no rust at all just a severe water leak when it rains and then it steams up the windshield inside right away! Any help would be appreciated! Kelly

Default RE: Interior water leak

what kind of help are you looking for?

1. it could be because of the damage

2. you will never find out unless you get there... so - it is either shop or get yourself a couple of days off and start taking the dashboard apart

good luck []
