'92 Acc. EX - Too Hot To Drive?
[sm=badbadbad.gif]
For a few years now I have noticed that when the temp. outside is about 20°C or higher my Accord won't stay lit after I run around for a few hours. Waiting 5 minutes or so usually works, but in my line of work 5 minutes can mean the world. (I’m a courier putting on 250 km /day or so!!!)
Fans working, rads new, few gasket leaks, idle and fuel consumption are good/great, shes got lotsa guts left (299,000 km)
Any ideas?

Stay lit meaning stay running. I'll stop the engine for a few minutes, try to start it again but it just stalls out after ruinning for half a second.
I asked the central dealer in Toronto, they said typically with my model the "main relay electronics" have a tendency to fail when the car is drivin in hot temp's. Located above the interior fusebox, they said not to remove the unit, just the wiring that leads into it. Not too sure what he ment but I'll take a look at it this weekend and post.
$80(CND) new, $10 "quoted" at the scrappers.

Yep - my mother in law had that problem with a civic - I had to replace Main Fuel Relay also check it's ground
Patrick - I was wondering why would crank sensor act that way? Is it because of the moisture? also did you have to replace the crank sensor or can you just clean it and put back.
We actually had the same problem with Buick park ave , with a crank sensor - but the car woudnt start, not that it wouldnt stay running
