Default 92 accord front brake rotors

I have 92 accord LX sedan, the front brakes are toast! I need to get the front rotors off but, not sure how to do it. I took the caliper off and what was left of the pad. that's right just one pad left in there..there's an axle nut that I'm not sure if it needs to come off and do i need to take apart the whole back lower ball joint steering knuckle and so on.. my first time doing anything like this.

I recommend that you yuy one of these, or find a place that uses it:

It is necessary to remove the axle nut and that can be very difficult. You might want to take the car to a shop, have them loosen it, have them tighten it to spec., then take the car home and the nut should come off rather easily.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

So far after three days I have still not been able to get the hub off the drivers side! took everything off the back like the book shows, sprayed it with penetrating oil and it still won't come off. Any ideas? I spoke with a mechanic friend of mine in another state and he said like everyone else has that once you dis assemble everthing and take four bolts out the back it would come right out. not so..

Corrosion? I bet you can find cars in Arizona or Saudi Arabia that after 17 years still have bare metal that's not rusted. I have a feeling that's one reason why people have such different experiences with their hubs & bearings.
