Default 92 Accord LX jerks at 50-60 mph

Within the last couple years my 92 Accord LX has developed a jerk between 50 and 60 mph. At any other speed under 50 and over 60, everything seems to be fine. But in the range of 50 and 60 mph the car jerks when I press the gas to accelerate. The harder I press on the gas, the more violently it jerks. Also, the tach fluctuates in that speed range too.

Let me give you an example of what happens...

If I accelerate from 0 on a straight, flat road everything is fine until I reach ~50 mph. At 50 my tach is just shy of 2500rpm. As soon as it gets to 52 mph, the tach drops to about 2000rpm and the car starts to jerk and feel bogged down. Once I get around 55 the tach jumps back up above 2500rpm and drives normal until I press the gas harder to accelerate, then the rpm's drop and the engine gets bogged down again. Once I reach ~60 mph, everything runs fine and I can accelerate normally with no trouble.

I'm sorry if that description is a little confusing but that's the best I can describe it. I hope someone can help me because its getting a little frustrating. I have taken it to several shops and no one can figure it out.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not great with automatic transmissions. The screen to the shift and lockup solenoids may need cleaned.

Here is a suggestion from hondadude that he gave to another member today dealing with bad gas mileage.

Check that the pressure lever to the trans from the throttle is adjusted correctly, you might not be getting lock up at hwy speeds.
To test it....fully warm up the engine and drive along a level road at 25 MPH under light throttle; then floor the gas. The trans should down shift to first gear.
Repeat the same drive at 28 MPH, when you floor the gas the trans will only downshift to second gear.

sounds to me like a tune up issue and or fuel delivery or plugged exhaust when was the last tune and filters swap air fuel etc. it seems to be effected by load and or rpm range. also cant get into my computer rite now but if it has mass air flow sensor you could clean it and disconnect battery and reset ecm. and deffinently do this if you have any sort of oil type air filter k&n, afe, etc
