Default 92 Accord Rings

I have 1992 Accord 5 speed manual, 520,000 miles. It has developed a miss and after a tune up made no difference I checked the compression and cylinders 1, 2, & 4 are around 180 and #3 is 150. I did a head job on this car 2 years ago around 450,000 miles. I haven't done a leak test yet so I don't know for sure if the valves are the problem although I do know that #3 is burning oil from the spark plug. My question is if I pull the head for a valve job how difficult is it to remove the pistons and replace the rings and bearings without pulling the engine?

Thanks,
CRW

We always do them from the bottom. Remove the oil pan and what ever else gets int the way and get to work. All work you describe can be done without pulling the engine.
