92 Accord sedan brakes
I have 92 accord LX sedan, the front brakes are toast! I need to get the front rotors off but, not sure how to do it. I took the caliper off and what was left of the pad. that's right just one pad left in there..there's an axle nut that I'm not sure if it needs to come off and do i need to take apart the whole back side including, lower ball joint, steering knuckle and so on.. my first time doing anything like this.

hey tmac. yes that whole knuckle has to come off to get that rotor off. so just pop off the bolts for the upper and lower ball joints, take out the safty pin out of the ball joints first so you can take the bolt off. unbolt the control arm and as for the center bolt you need a big socket for that looks like a 32mm. when your taking that off theres a lock for it. just unlock it by taking a flat head screwdriver and bending the metal stright. then take that same screw driver and put it into the vents in the rotor(at the top). which ever way the rotor turns to take off that center bolt jamb the screwdriver where it meets the caliper so it doesnt turn on you when you are turning. once thats off and everything is loose it should just come right off.
when you get the new rotor on just work backwards to put it on. i think the center bolt is torqued at 181 Ft-Lb
