my car surges when cold and in park if i hit the gas otherwise when first started it idles a little above normal until warm and then its normal. any help please

 

Had the same problem on my 97. I would clean the IACV. It's located behind the intake mani. There's a DIY thread here: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...leaning-36812/

 

Also look in DIY section for a post by me about setting your BASE idle.

First clean up stuff.
- clean throttlebody bore & throttle plate
- remove air from cooling system
- find & fix vacuum leaks
- etc - there's probably a couple more things in that post.
