Default '92 DX front brakes

I have'nt started, but am trying to familiarize myself a bit before I start this job.Am I correct in assuming the steering knuckle will have to be removed in order to replace the rotors?

The rotor is 'trapped' by the hub. there are tools/ways to remove the hub-wheel bearing assy.
Drop out the axle remove hub retaining bolts; favorite flavor bearing remover tool [OTC hubtamer]

However some people do drop off the entire unit and take it to the machine shop to have it pressed apart and back together.
Upper and lower ball joints, axle out, remove brake caliper an brake hose mountings.

You mean like a slide hammer w/hub/axle flange adapter-in which one would use,say for removing axles out of differential equipped vehicles (older Chevy trucks/Dana,etc.) ?

Ended up removing the whole knuckle, pressing the hub out of the bearing (bearing "in half"),and pressing hub back in bearing....got an OTC #7503 tie rod puller for all the ball joints. What a nice tool..........
