92 Honda Accord EX-R Stalling out stopped and driving
My 92 Accord has been experiencing a major problem. I am driving and come to a stop and it will sputter and die, or I will be driving and the Tac=h will start jumping around then the car sputters, chokes and dies. Have discovered one problem that was two of the vacuum lines were reversed so changed it and the car worked great for about an hour then it started again, I did the Ole paperclip trick and got a CEL reading of 1 Long and 4 short (14) indicating a faulty or burnt out IAC. I read in a previous thread some of the same problems was the Ignitier going, can anyone help

The stalling could be due to lack of air from the IACV. Idle w/o IACV should be around 750 rpm, however a dirty throttle plate and throttle bore can cause lower idle, and stalling w/o IACV functioning.
Check IACV w/ a volt-ohm meter for resistance of solenoid coil across two terminals. It should be 8-15 ohms. If open, then it needs replacement. If it checks OK, it could be intermittent, or a wiring/connector fault.
The rpm fluctations usually indicate an ignition system fault; coil or ignitor. Check DIY forum for guidance on checking these items.
good luck
