93 accord CRUISE CONTROL
I have a 93 accord 4-dr ex a/t.
The cruise control will not stay engaged. I dont think it is a break pedal problem. When the weather is hot the cruise will not work. Just today at 35 degrees the cruise worked for the first time in a long time.
I have read in a past post (Listed below) that "sir_nasty" had some trouble shooting for the cruise control system.
( alright I got the manual pages for your car.... full troubleshooting procedures/testing for the Cruise control... PM me your e-mail address or post it and I will e-mail it to you (it's in PDF format)
"sir_nasty" ---- Here is my email. can you send the trouble shooting tips. Kschumac@comcast.net

The description of temp sensitivity would lead me to suspect the slip ring under the steering wheel, here is the diagnostic chart;

Thank you for the trouble shooting tree and link. Is there a way to fix or clean the slip ring if that is the problem. Or will I need a new one. Thank You.

Hondadude,
On Step 5 pink wire , There is intermittent continuity ( 56 Ohms to 6-7k or More) when shift lever has pressure or is slightly bumped. leads me to belive there is a faulty shift position switch. can i clean this switch... steps 3 & 4 Check ok for horn........THx Ken

Sure you can clean switch contacts, be sure the is no power to the circuit, and blast it out with brake clean and compressed air. If possible swipe a little conductive grease on the contacts.
