Exclamation 93 Accord Ex 5sp won't shift while running

Hi, I just replaced the clutch plate in my accord, and decided since it was due for a lot of other maintenance it would be best to pull the motor completely, well everything is back together, and fluids are all new, but now my car will not shift while running. it will cycle through the gears just fine when its off, and i can start it in 1st and 2nd and it will stop and go normally, i can even shift out of 1st and back in when I'm moving, but thats it.

I have replaced the slave cylinder and bled the lines thinking that was the problem but same story.

can anyone help me?

Rebleed the lines, check slave for proper operation.

If slave is moving you will need to pull trans to see if the shift fork is seated correctly.

Sorry for the news you prob did not want to hear.

Sounds like the clutch is dragging - it's not disengaging completely. That put a load on the synchro which holds it in (or out of) gear.

Watch the clutch slave cylinder while someone works the clutch pedal; pretty sure the piston should push back & forth about 12mm.

I think I've also heard of that problem happenning when the clutch disk is installed backwards. The hub of the clutch disk is offset one way or the other, so there IS a right & wrong way to install it.

First check for proper amount of motion in the throw-out lever. Don't drop the trans until you rule out the external stuff.
