Default 93 accord, no spark

Hi, my neighbor has 93 accord ex. I believe it's a 2.0 or 2.2l, 4 cyl. I have no spark from the coil. I do have 12v at the coil on black w yellow from the ign switch. There are two other wires to the coil on this 4 terminal connector.
I'm guessing the ECU is bad, or the ign module.
What signal should I be receiving at the coil from the ECU while cranking?
Thanks,
Matt

ECU should send signal to ignition module (in distributor). That module in turn sends a signal to the coil.

Ignition module is more common to fail than the ECU. Some places like AutoZone can test ignition modules, call & ask.

Since it doesn't start, it's useless to ask whether the CEL comes on... But check for stored error codes. Code 15 would indicate a problem with that circuit from ECU to ignition module.

The signal to the ICM fluctuates from 10V to ground, iirc.

If you have a 12v test light, you can hook it up to the two leads going to the coil (disconnect the coil and put a bulb in its place). The bulb should flash when someone tries to crank the engine.

I think I found the issue, although it may be just one of the causes. The lead to the icm (far left terminal) was corroded so severely that the conductor was deteriorated. I've started to replace it by splicing in a short section and will report back.
