I have a 93 Accord with an auto tranny, and when I crank it, the park and drive indicator lights are both lit up most of the time. When this happens, the car will not shift above 2nd gear. On occasion, the drive light will NOT be lit up on startup. When this happens, the car shifts perfectly. Any ideas ?

 

TCM/TCU maybe?

 

Yeah check the TCU connections. If you pull the passenger carpet back closest to the firewall you'll expose a metal panel. Remove the 4 10mm nuts and take the panel off. The ECU (big silver box) and the TCU (smaller gold box) are attached to the back of the panel. Double check all of the pins are in the connectors and the connectors are in tight.
