Default 93' curious about higher octane fuel

Ever since I got my car running again I have been using 89 octane in the tank. Wanted to see if I could notice a difference in the way the engine runs. So far I haven't noticed any difference, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it is worth using a higher octane fuel

short answer is - NO

Higher Octane gas is for Higher Compression Motors which our Accords def do not have.

If you want to do something good for your car buy gas that does not have Ethanol in it.

It is pretty much a waste of money for 93 octane gasoline in your engine. The higher octane fuel is for high compression engines, and your 93 LX does not have a high compression engine.

Thanks for the responses. I work at a family owned gas station, and the owner gives me 2 gallons each day I'm there, so I get 12 gallons a week. But when I fill up tonight i'll go back to the 87

put some 11:1 compression pistons in your block and then you will be forced to run 93.

8:8.1 compression will NEVER have pre detonation issue

I laugh at my friends that put high octane fuel on their Civics and Accords.

Use whatever the manual tells you to put.
