93 Honda Accord LX help!!!!
I got a 93 honda accord lx from my grandad when i graduated several months ago, and my grandad bought the car brand new, after two weeks i was driving down the road and i shifted to neutral at a stop sign and my car cutt off and hasnt started back up sense, it only cranks but it wont turn over and actually start. I have no clue whats wrong with it and i dont have the cash to take it to te shop. Could anyone give me any advice of what the problem could be?????
note: the car made like a whinning noise up until the day it stopped.

An engine takes three things to run:
- Spark
- Fuel
- Compression
One of these things is not working... Quick checks are as follows:
- Spark, get a timing light and put on one of the spark plugs and see if it flashes while you try to crank. No flash means you likely have an ignition issue.
- Fuel, you can spray some starting fluid in the intake as see if it fires. If it does fire, you likely have a fuel issue.
- Compression, disable the fuel pump and relieve pressure, disable the ignition system, remove all the spark plugs, install a compression gage in one of the spark plug holes, press the throttle to the floor an crank a few revolutions. Test all cylinders in this fashion. The readings should be +/-10% of each other and in the 150+ range.
