This is the first thread I have ever seen on any forum(And I am on Honda, Volvo, and Mazda forums) of someone wanting to swap manual to automatic. Seen plenty of wanting to swap auto to manual.

The axles I believe are the same, but the wiring is what will be the trickiest part. It will not be an easy swap by any means.

I looked and didn't see any post like it. I would like ti keep the 5 speed. I jus can't find a used one in any local junk yards. All have been autos. Do you know if a 5 speed out of a 93 or older will work. I know the auto swap will be a ton of work. The harness swap. Cluster swap Speedo cable. That's why I was looking at a front end drop out

Have you checked car-part.com to find a transmission close to you?

You could also check ebay, shipping on a transmission would be a little expensive, but a lot less than an automatic swap.

The transmission off an accord 90-02 will work. So will one off a 92-01 Prelude, or a 97-99 Acura CL.

You can take the engine and tranny out the top.
