Default 94 Accord Fuel Problems

My 94 accord wouldnt crank back up at the gas station the other day. It would turn over fine but never crank, after about a min of on and off cranking it finally fired up. Well i had thte same problem again at work yesterday with it. It wouldnt crank up then it finally busted off and ran rine. I have a feeling like its not getting fuel initally. Where should i start and what should i replace?
Thanks

Default RE: 94 Accord Fuel Problems

I suspect main relay.

Turn key ON but not immediately to START.
Listen for fuel pump to run for a couple seconds then stop.

If it doesnt run at all, lookfor MAIN RELAY REPAIR in the DIY section. Unfortunately search doestnt work real swift right now...

Main relay switches power to the fuel pump. Common problem is cold solder joints with cracks so it doesnt always make proper contact.

If fuel pump runs properly, then check to see whether you have spark (when its NOT starting). Pull a plug wire, stick it on a spare sparkplug, lay it against good engine ground, & try starting. Spark should be blue & strong.

follow the ground wire from your battery to the engine block and body and check tomake sure you have good ground connections.
