94 accord needs a front license plate
Hello, this is my first post here, my attempts to find information at another forum went sorta without fruit so giving here a try. :)
I have a 94 honda accord EX that recently entered the family (owned by girlfriend for about 4 years who then moved in with me so now it's my problem to fix <_< >_>) and they came from a state with no front plates.
Now i'm sure I can just get a cheap $8 front plate holder from Autozone but it only seems to fit with two of the four bolts into the non-flat-surface rounded plastic bumper and so I was wondering if that's strong enough to not fall off during the next 3mph fender bump in a parking lot. :- P I don't know if there is some kind of special bracket I should be using behind it, or if I should drill in two slightly smaller holes (than the bolts) into the bumper and assume it will be okay or what.. i'm a little leery drilling blindly into something too not knowing whats behind for that matter.
I'm just trying to minimize total expense as the car needs a bunch of other minor work and i'm not wanting to put much in until I see whether it makes it fine through the summer and some other postponed work that shoulda been done awhile ago. O_o

I bought the 94 Accord, OEM part front plate mount from dealership. It is pretty pricey at $38 + shipping from Honda online parts. It did fit well, but only uses two upper side mounts.
good luck
good luck
So it only uses two bolts anyways? Was there any special kind of bracket involved behind the bolts or is it pretty much drill then screw?
The bracket bolts under the the bumper, so you don't have to drill. Look under the top part of the bumper and you will see two plastic tabs with a hole where a bolt/clip will attach. The bracket will bolt through the clips. It is very simple to install.
