94 LX sedan central locking misbehaviour
hi all - I've tried searching other threads for this one, but nothing quite as special as my problem!
this is only talking about using a key, I do not have a remote.
so here we go:
1994 Honda Accord LX sedan, US model.
at driver's door, turning key only locks/unlocks driver's door. it also makes an incredibly loud electrical locking sound which usually turns heads. fortunately I don't get embarrassed easily!
at passenger's door, turning key also makes loud noise. The lock works, but doesn't operate driver's door. also locks one of the rear doors (behind passenger). behind driver sometimes locks/unlocks.
if the right rear door has been locked electrically, it can only be unlocked electrically - no amount of force seems to override this...
sometimes after a few seconds of walking away, the car will make it's really loud locking noise, but nothing has unlocked, so this is okay.
randomly, I'm talking middle of the night (small hours) randomly, the noise will mysteriously occur.
I've got no idea where to go with this one...
thanks in advance!

I think that you should get a volt meter to do some electrical testing.
You will have to pull the driver's door panel. The power door lock control unit is above the speaker and has a 12 or 14 pin connector where you will do the testing. Inspect the wiring, because it may be pinched or damaged.
The tests are in a 94 shop manual that you can download from the links in the online manuals thread in the DIY section. The electrical chapter has the information on power door locks page 23-279.
