95 2.2 Liter VTEC, o2 Questions and Replacement
Hi, have a 95 Accord 2.2 liter VTEC with 290,000 miles am thinking of replacing the 02 sensor or sensors, I think there is only one but not totally sure. During cold weather the check engine light comes on every once in a while had it checked out but they said it did not store code. Was told its probably your 02 sensor or sensors can't recall it was a year or two ago when they tried. Plan on driving this car till the doors fall off but I want it to run good. It's the original 02 sensor or sensors would it be wise to replace it? Would there be a noticeable gas mileage increase, would it run better and is it that much better for the motor to replace it? Are they hard to replace on the down pipe, soak it when warm with brake fluid and then when it cools hopefully fluid gets in there so it will come out? Thank you for your time and have a great day!

It turns out that your O2 sensor is the same sensor that is used in the downstream on my 2000 Accord. I took both the front/rear sensors out at 70K miles because that was the scheduled maintenance on the car. I'm fairly certain that I still have that sensor, if I do, I'll send it to you.
