Default 95 accord ex axle help (not CV)

Hey guys, i need some help. I recently had my CV joints taken care of but since then, I now have a loud “POP” (one that you can feel in both seats as well) coming from the center of my front-end when I turn or there’s a significant weight-shift. I’m thinking it may be my axle as I know the CV stuff (clicking etc), plus this is the middle of the car and it's physical as well as audible. Bad axle? Poppoing axle? Any ideas?

Thanks! Brian

The CV joints are the axle.

See if the CV joints are properly seated in the transmission and the knuckle. If you had a shop do the work, you should take it back to them to diagnose.

The anti-sway bar rubber cusshion washers on ends of the A/S bar can shift and cause a popping sound when turning. Eaxmine the rubber washers and A/S bar ends for slack. If you can push/pull the bar this may be the problem. Easy fix.

good luck

If it's a big structural "POP" and you feel something shift, I'd look closely at suspension balljoints. Control arm's inboard mounting points might be moving? Maybe even the whole sub-frame moving?

The axles aren't controlling the position of the wheels. You're looking at suspension arms and ALL their pivots & attachment points.
