Default 95 Accord ODB connection

I am trying to diagnose a friends check engine light. I had a 97 accord and when my check engine light would come on, I could jumper the odb connector under the glovebox and the check engine light would blink out the codes.
This was a two wire connector. My friends connector is in the identical spot and is the same blue color but it has three wires instead of two. I think one may be power for a diagnostic tool.
Can I still jumper two of the three wires and get a readout of the codes or is the 95 model different than my 97?

Check under there again, there is a two wire plug - might still be plugged into a " dummy" connector.

Don't jump the three pin connector. That could damage the ecu. Find the two pin connector like poorman suggested.
