i have a 95 accord ex 4 cylinder. Lately it has been shifting really late after it reaches really high RPM. After lengthy drives it gets even worst. takes for ever to shift and even higher rpm. any ideas?

 

I would check for transmission and/or engine codes. See DIY section on how to get CEL codes. Usually the D4 light will start flashing for transmission problems, but not always. The check engine light will turn on for engine problems.

Post any codes you find on here.

I would adjust some of the slack in the cable from the throttle body to the transmission. I would also use some throttle body cleaner to clean out the shift and lockup solenoids.

If you are due for a transmission fluid change, I would change using Honda ATF. Don't have the transmission flushed.
