You will want the vtec engine, because the ECU throw an engine code without it. It may run poorly.

You would want a 94 or 95 EX engine. They are identical to your current engine and will be a "easy" swap. The less complications, the better.

A 96/97 EX engine will work too, but you need your current 94 distributor.

Check out car-part.com for used engines. You can search by price or distance. Craigslist is another source you may want to search.

Okay, question #2. Based on the idea that I found and installed another v-tech engine, is the radiator the same style across all the years? Also, can I look for a non-vtech car's radiator, as long as it's within a couple of years? The top of my radiator's developed a bit of a problem, looking to replace it too.

I haven't actually gotten the new(ish) engine yet, but assuming that I will get it, just trying to figure out how wide of a range of radiators I can look for. If it has to be that year and model, I'll have to narrow the search parameters quite a bit.

You can try car-part.com for a radiator for your specific accord and see what years are returned as matches. I'd assume the 94-97 accords will work.

You can pick up a new one for ~$100. I think I installed a denso brand radiator in my old 95 accord.
