Welcome to HAF

A few questions for you.....is the CEL on when the car is running? Are the tune up items (cap, rotor, plugs, inspect wires) up to date?

i gave it a tune up..... plugs cap rotor and wires and replaced the main relay ...and idle speed sensor....but you have to flutter the gas pedal for it to start or spray starting fluid and fluter or play with gas pedal

See whether fuel is holding its pressure:
- Turn the key to ON but don't immediately turn it to START.
- After 1 or 2 seconds turn the key to START.

If this makes it start reliably, then your fuel system is leaking back into the tank. (If it were leaking OUT, you'd probably smell fuel.)

The fuel pump has a check valve to prevent fuel flowing back into the tank when it's shut off. Maybe that's leaking a bit.

The FPR should close up and not allow the pressure to bleed off through the return line.

This doesn't exactly match your symptoms, but it's easy/free to check & rule out as the problem.

ps: I'm gonna move this to General Tech, because it's more likely to get noticed over there.
