96 Accord ABS Light is on
I have a 96 2.7L Accord with ABS light on. I looked in the Haynes manual and it said it could be a blown fuse or problem with a sensor. I went to autozone and checked the cars computer with a scantool but no error codes came up. How do I figure out what to do without replacing every sensor? Snow will be here soon and I want to fix this by myself. Thanks for your help. If this helps at all the light is not lit until the car begins to move.
AutoZone's scanners probably can't display ABS codes - only engine emmissions codes.
Short the SCS connector as if you're reading error codes the old way (OBD-1). Watch the ABS lamp flash instead of (or in addition to) the CEL.
Long flash & long pause - that's not part of the code yet.
Short flashes = first digit of code
short pause
Short flashes = 2nd digit of code
LONG pause
Short flashes = first digit of next code
etc...
